My Vision for Carver County
Making Carver County Roads Safer
As director of the Hwy 7 Safety Coalition, I reduced traffic fatalities along the corridor from 5 in 2024 to Zero in 2025.
Making Carver County Schools More Secure
I will ensure that meaningful relationships are maintained with all schools and that threat assessment teams are formed to prevent violence in our schools.
Relationship Building Through Servant Leadership
Fix the culture of the Carver County Sheriff’s Office that has caused a critical shortage of deputies and staff.
Ongoing retention issues are creating a gap in experience across the organization.
The Sheriff’s Office has been unable to fulfill its contracts with the cities of Carver County.
Response time to calls has increased, especially in western cities and townships.
Why I’m Running
My name is Adam Moore, and I am honored to call Watertown my home. I am running for Carver County Sheriff because I believe our community deserves a leader who values service, transparency, and safety above all else. For over 20 years, I have served the people of Minnesota in law enforcement, and now I want to continue that service as your sheriff. My goal is simple: to ensure that Carver County remains a safe place for families to live, work, and thrive.
I am committed to servant leadership, putting the needs of our community first, listening to concerns, and working collaboratively to solve problems. Public safety is not just about enforcing laws; it’s about building trust, strengthening partnerships, and creating a future where every resident feels protected and heard.
About Me
I’ve called Carver County home for the past seven years. My wife and I are raising our two teenagers here, both of whom attend Carver County schools. Like any parent, their safety, and the safety of every child in our community, is always on my mind.
My decision to go into law enforcement came from my stepfather, who served as a deputy sheriff. He was truly a servant at heart. Watching how he treated people with dignity and compassion taught me what it means to lead through service. Because of his mentorship, I’ve tried to build the same kind of trusting, respectful relationships in my own career and in my community.
Carver County has a strong sense of community that’s hard to find anywhere else. It’s a place where people still wave to their neighbors, step up to help one another, and take pride in keeping their towns safe and welcoming. Living here has shown me what makes this county special, its people. That’s what inspires me every day to serve with integrity, to listen, and to help keep Carver County the kind of place we’re all proud to call home.
